汉字的传播与未来发展之走向

ON THE DIRECTION IN WHICH THE CHINESE CHARACTERS WILL BE SPREAD AND DEVELOPED IN THE FUTURE

汉字自诞生以来 ,以中原为中心 ,传播于中国境内 ,从而形成了中国境内汉文字体系各种类型的文字以及最终传播于中国境外产生了“汉字文化圈”。笔者着重探讨了汉字今后的发展、走向及其面临的问题后认为 ,不应立即废止汉字代之以拼音化文字 ,汉字的现代化应分两步走 ,当前应着重解决信息网络化中中文信息处理所面临的现实问题 ,为汉字拼音化打好基础。

Ever since the birth of the Chinese Characters they have been spreading from the Central China into the areas throughout the country, thus coming into being the system of the Chinese language with various types of characters within China, and finally they have been spread into the world which gave birth to 'the cultural circle of Chinese characters'. After discussing the direction of the development of the Chinese characters, and the problems they are facing now, the author of this paper maintains that the Chinese characters should not be replaced by alphabetic system of writing at the present stage. The modernization of the Chinese characters should be realized in two steps. What we should do now is to concentrate our efforts to tackle the problems concerning the information processing in the Chinese language on the information network, so as to lay a good foundation for introducing the alphabetic system of writing of the Chinese language.
