One of the characteristics of the cultural context of the 90s, 20th century was the landslip of human values. The spiritual predicaments forced writers to re-examine the essential relationship between man and the nature. The native stories of the 90s laid emphasis on the modern aesthetic significance of local civilization, whereas the pioneering wilderness novels tried to get rid of the restrictions of 'humane centralism', experience and represent the human existence from a wider aesthetic field of vision.
