萃英中学是苏州地区一所历史久、规模大的典型教会中学 ,在学校建设、领导体制、课程设置、教学管理、学生管理等方面都形成了自己的特色 ,取得了一定成绩。作为教会学校 ,萃英中学当然脱离不了宗教教育 ,但对促进苏州地区近代教育的发展 。

Cuiying Private Secondary School is a large scaled and typical missionary school with a long history. It made achievements in many aspects such as the school management, leadership structure, course designing, teaching management and student affairs. As a missionary school, Cuiying Secondary School took religious studies as an intergral part of school education. Nevertheless, the school played an active role in promoting modern education in the area of Suzhou.
