Commentary on Methods for Analyzing Sentences in Modern Chinese

目前比较流行的几种高校《现代汉语》教材以及《中学教学语法系统提要》 ,对句子的定义和句子成分、分析句子的方法、句子分类的标准和类型有不同的理解和认识。这些观点和方法各有各的长处。但是通过比较 ,我们可以看出 ,颜迈编著的《现代汉语》主张的“三级成分分析法”显得更科学、更实用 ,应当加以提倡、推广。

The popular versions of Modern Chinese textbooks for students at universities and colleges and A Synopsis of the Grammatical System for Middle School Teaching present different views on sentence definition and sentence members, methods for sentence analysis, and standard for sentence classification. Each of these views and methods has its own strong points. But through comparison, we found that the 'three levels of sentence member analysis' as claimed by Yan Mai in his Modern Chinese is more scientific, more practical, and therefore should be popularized.
