中国共产党是中国工人阶级的先锋队 ,是广大人民的忠实代表 ,全心全意为人民服务是党的根本立场和惟一宗旨。要实现人民的根本利益 ,就必须相信群众 ,依靠群众。群众路线和群众观点是实现人民利益的根本路线和根本方法。轻视群众 ,脱离群众 ,不关心群众的冷暖安危 ,就会走向官僚主义和形式主义 ,直至跌入腐败的泥坑。全面加强党的建设 ,改进党的作风 ,彻底惩治腐败 ,这是实现人民根本利益的根本保证。中国共产党的三代领导核心毛泽东、邓小平、江泽民在社会主义革命、建设和改革开放的不同时期对“人民根本利益”作了不同的论述 。

The Communist Party of China is the vanguard of the working class and the faithful representation of the wide people. Whole heartedly serving the people is the fundamental stand and sole aim of the Party .To realize the people's fundamental interests, it is necessary to believe the masses and depend on the masses. The mass line and mass viewpoint are the fundamental line and way for realizing the people's interests. Making light of the masses, breaking away form the masses and ignoring the well-being of the masses will lead to bureaucracy, and formalism till to falling into the corrupt pit. It is the fundamental guaranteefor realizing the people's basic interests to overall strengthen the Party construction and to improve the Party's style of work and thoroughly punish corruption. The sole standard for measuring the Party's success or failure, gain or loss is the people's interests. The cores of leadership of the three generations of our Party--Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin have made different explanations about 'the people's fundamental interests' in the course of socialist revolution, construction and reform and open times, but their connotations are imbued with the same spirit.
