On the Chen and Liang Dynasties' control over Jiangzhou

江州为沿江地带的一大重镇 ,战略地位非常重要。与刘宋、萧齐仿佛 ,梁陈二朝对江州的控制呈现出明显的阶段性 ,大体的情况是 ,开国之初及战乱时期以功臣刺州 ,政局相对平稳阶段则以宗王出镇。

Jiangzhou,an important town along the Yangtze River,was of great strategic significance.Like the Song and Qi Dynasties,the control of the Liang Dynasty and the Chen Dynasty over Jiangzhou showed distinct phase characteristic.Generally speaking,in the initial period of the regime or in war time meritorious officials were appointed as prefectural governors and when political situation was stable heads appointed by the king were usually sent to Jiangzhou.The situation in Jiangzhou had a close relationship with the stability and chaos of the royal government.
