In accordance with Huang Borong and Liao Xudong's incomplete analysis of the ambiguous phrase'theree reporters and editors of a newpaper office',this paper adds another three senses that the phrase contains and analyzes the causes of such ambiguous words or phrases and ways to eliminate them.Besides,this paper points out that when we analyze ambiguous phrases either caused by structural gradation,structural relation or other factors,in order to achieve the unity of form and sense,we should not separate our analysis from the meaning which is the basic element.
