潘军的中篇小说《重瞳》为读者创造出一个与历史文本中的项羽迥然不同的艺术形象。《重瞳》所表现出的思想意蕴十分丰富 :不以成败论英雄 ,在人与人的竞争中看重的是“手段”,而不仅仅是“结果”;藐视权力和地位 ,追求超越现实功利色彩的理想人生境界 ;批判男权专制统治 ,肯定和赞美女性的善良、智慧和超拔 ;大胆质疑和反思历史 。

In his medium length novel,PAN Jun creates an artistic image completely different from XIANG YU described in historical books .The novel is rich in thoughts and connotations:the writer does not judge a character by his success or failure,emphasizing the 'means' rather than the mere 'results' in human competition;he looks down upon power and status but seeks an ideal state of life surmounting practical utilitarianism; he also criticizes the autocratic male control,affirms and praises women's kind heartedness,wisdom and detachment;finally,he boldly queries and reflects history, providing beneficial references for re considering and evaluating it.
