王安忆、张梅是执著于探询城市精神的两位作家。她们 90年代以来创作的反映都市女性生存状态的小说 ,集中体现了其在这一领域的思考和努力。两人在创作主题、叙事方式和女性形象塑造等方面的相通相异之处 ,分别体现了她们对现代都市与女性生存这一命题的不同诠释、对不同历史时期城市女性的物质及精神生存状态的精神关怀和价值评判。

Wang An-yi and Zhang Mei are two writers who insist on exploring urban spirits. Their novels from 1990's always concentrate on describing urban life and urban women.
