庄子哲学在认识论上强调认识的不可确定性和不可言说性 ,即“不知之知” ,这一颇具相对主义和不可知论色彩的思想深刻地影响了中国古典文艺理论认识论的发展 ;《庄子》强调动静统一、超越时空、重内在体验的认识的方法论对中国古典文论创作论的建构起了重要作用。

The philosophy of Zhuangzi emphasizes the indefinable and indescribable character of knowledge.His ideas with heavy hue of relativism and agnosticism influenced the development of Chinese classical literary theory,moreover,his ideas of methodology which pay more attention to the unity of movement and quietness,standing aloof from time and space and the inner feeling,have played an important role in constructing the theory of writing in Chinese classical Iiterary theory.
