During the period of 1956-1966,Sin o -Soviet Controversy was a very important event in the history of Sino -Soviet relationship,even in the history of International Politics.Deng Xiaop ing,as the standing member of Chinese Communist Party Central Political Bureau and Secretary -gen eral of Chinese Communist Party Cent ral Committee at that time,played a d ecisive role in that event.This paper is a brief introduction of the event and points out that Deng Xia oping deeply influenced the develop ment of that event and was deeply influenced by the event at the same time .
