The Importance of Developing Education on History of Science and Technology ——Thoughts on studying "Science and Technology Is the Primary Productive Force

“科学技术是第一生产力 ,而且是先进生产力的集中体现和重要标志”这一重要思想 ,既是对当代科学技术发展趋势的概括与总结 ,又是对马克思主义科学论的深化和发展。落实“第一生产力”思想的关键是提高科技人才的素质和水平。而开展科技史教育是提高科技人才素质的重要措施。本文论述了科技史教育的内容、作用和意义 ,提出了开展科技史教育的建议。

Science and Technology is the primary productive force. It is the manifestation and indication of advanced productive force.' This thought raised by Chairman JIANG Ze min is not only a general sketch of contemporary scientific development, but also a further development of Marxism. In order to put this thought into practice more effectively, we need to enhance the quality of researchers in the field of science and technology. It is one of the most important devices for it to develop education on history of science and technology, this paper offers some suggestions on how to develop education on history of science and technology with clarification of the content and importance of the education.
