Cuju was one of important activities of the ancient physical education in China.During Tang dynasty,Cuju was popular among the upper classes and grass society,and gradually becoming a fashion.Its cause lies in the following factors:first,the appearance of gas balls made Cuju more interesting;second,environments of politics and economy were superior at that time;and third,peoples idea about health,amusement and appreciation of beauty became changed.Meanwhile,the fashion of Cuju gave social surroundings some negative influences.
