The article analyzes the differences between traditional and modern cataloguing work in terms of objects, methods, patterns in organization and requirements in quality of personnel. The article also puts forward a proposal to strengthen and perfect the modern cataloguing work in the aspects of rules and regulations, formations of personnel team and the establishment of cataloging databases.
