The education policy for overseas students in Japan has developed with some unique features, which are worth learning by the Chinese government. The features can be concluded as the following: extensively, the education policy for overseas students reflects Japan's foreign political policies and beliefs of developing the country through education, meanwhile, it supports the stable development of higher education industry. Intensively, the policy includes a serious of reforms in recruitment system, teaching system, and reward system, etc. What is worth learning is that Chinese government should adjust the proportion of the students going abroad and coming to China, try to recruit more overseas students, to promote the internationalization of education, and finally to increase the foreign language level of the teachers engaged in Chinese language teaching.
