The fault diagnosis technology is the synthetic technology based on a lot of subjects of computer technology,such as sensor technology,signal handle technology and some others.The fault diagnosis technology initiated and rapidly developed in the industry developed countries.With the development of the mine science and technology,the fault diagnosis technology is widely applied in coal mines.The paper describes and sums up the development of the fault diagnosis at home and abroad,and stresses the application of fault detection and diagnosis technology in coal mine mechanical and electrical installation of the elevators,coal mining machines,ventilators,mine high voltage induction motors and so on.
