Function of Religion:A Brief Analysis

宗教现象之所以能伴随着人类历史长期地存在着 ,并将继续存在下去 ,就在于宗教自身有着为人们所需要的特定功能及其社会作用。科学地、实事求是地全面研究和阐明宗教的社会作用问题 ,是宗教学基本理论的重要内容之一。在人类社会发展中 ,宗教的社会作用是多层面的。其主要方面有宗教的政治作用、宗教的道德教化作用。

The cause why religions phenomenon can live with human history incessantly, is that there are particular faculties needed by humankind and profound influence on society in religion. Because the social function of religion consists of various questions, so the primary task of found mental theory of religion is to investigate and express it scientifically, truly and completely. Such functions as of politics, moral instruction, cultural transmission and social association etc, belongs to religion.
