摘要 笔者在2000年5月到2001年5月一年期间,先后进行了“中学生喜欢的英语教师”、“英语教师职业压力”、“在职英语教师继续教育需求”三项相关的教育调查并得出如下结论:英语素质教育需要高素质英语教师;社会、学校和英语教师应共同努力减轻教师职业压力,提高教师职业素质;提高英语教师职业素质的有效途径是强化高师英语专业学生教师职业技能系统培训,加快英语教师的继续教育实施进程。在调查研究的基础上,笔者对21世纪英语教师的核心素质进行了深入的探讨,提出了高师英语教育专业、各级各类教育学院的英语系和各级各类教委英语教研室和学校的英语教研组通力协作,实施英语教师(准教师、新教师、合格教师、优秀教师)的职前、职后教育一体化的改革构想。 The author did three related educational investigations in Feb—May,2001,which were“Popular English Teachers in Middle Schools”,“The Profession Pressure of English Teachers”and“The Needs for Continuing Education from In-service English Teachers”.The followings are the conclusions:1.Quality education needs high qualified English teachers.Most English teachers in middle schools have sensed professional pressure in different degrees.The society,schools and English teachers must work together to reduce teachers' profession pressure,and to improve their professional qualities.2.The effective way the professional qualities of teachers can be improved is to reinforce the systematic training on college students' professional skills to be a teacher and to accelerate the implementation of teachers' continuing education.Based on the investigations, the author put forward an innovative framework in which the English departments of normal universities or colleges, colleges of education at all levels,research offices and schools should cooperate closely with one another to integrate the pre-service and in-service training (quasi teachers,new teachers,qualified teachers,excellent teachers).
