A Review of the Conceptual and System Barriers to the Development of Chinese Education Industry Afrer China's Accession to WTO

本文认为加入WTO是中国社会融入经济全球化的一个进程 ,教育则是其中的一个极其重要的“软设施”。文章着重分析了教育是WTO下的“服务贸易” 。

In this paper the author maintains that China's accession to WTO is a part of the process in which China gets itself involved in the global economy and that education constitutes the very important part of the software for the involvement. The paper points out that education is the 'service trade' under WTO and analyzes the various conceptual and system barriers to the development of the Chinese education industry.
