摘要
伴随着近代化的历程,镇江近代教育经历了从镇江开埠到抗日战争爆发前70多年的发展,奠定了镇江近代教育的基本格局。这一格局的特点是:公私、中西教育齐头并进、女子教育发展迅速、各种类型的中等教育特色明显、社会非正规教育也非常丰富多彩。
In the process of modernization, educational systems in Zhenjiang have fundamentally formed a solid structure after 70 years of the slow but steady evolution from the opening of the Zhenjiang Port to the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan. The main features of modern educational systems are: Simultaneous development and growth of both private and public education, both Chinese and western education; rapid development of women's education; striking distinctiveness displayed in secondary education of various types; and rich and various social education.
