The advantages of satellite communication and its application in Internet backbone network are intro-duced in this paper,which believes that the transmission of Internet services through satellite communication is fea-sible.The internetworking trial of satel-lite Internet in Singapore,Taiyuan and Beijing are introduced.Finally,the market and application prospects of satellite backbone network are analyzed.
