摘要
本文研究了种子渗漏物质的变化与种子老化之间的关系并藉此预测种子活力的方法。从6种蔬菜种子的可溶性渗漏物质的分析表明,种子浸泡液的紫外光谱和茚三酮反应与种子的活力和发芽力呈极显著的负相关。这些方法对于长期保存的大量种质资源种子的生活力及活力的测定是简单可行的。
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between changes in leakage of the seeds and seed ageing and to search for an indicator of seed vigor based on it. Analysis for exudation of soluble components in the seeds of six species of vegetable shows the highly sig-nificant correlations between UV spectrum and ninhydrin response of leakage of these seeds and seed germinatility and vigor. For some spe-cies the same result were observed by measuring electric conductivity; however it varies with cultivars. Exuded sugar can be determined with a sugar analysis paper, but this method is not sensitive compared with those mentioned above. The seed exudate analysis is a simple and very useful method for evaluating seed vigor during successful long-term seed storage.
