In this paper the principle of cathodic protection technique is briefly introduced, with the emphases on the introduction to the application of sacrificial anodic protection technique to the oil tanks, water coolers and buried pipe lines in the refinery of Jinling Petrochemical Corporation. The necessity of generalizing the use of sacrificial anodic protection technique, as a safe and efficient corrosion protection measure, throughout the Corporation is explained.
