高校思想政治工作要强化“四种意识”

On Strengthening "Four Consciousnesses" in the Ideological and Political Work of the Institutions of Higher Learning

党的思想政治工作是经济工作和其他一切工作的生命线 ,是团结全党和全国各族人民实现党和国家各项任务的中心环节 ,是我们党和社会主义国家的重要政治优势。在新形势下 ,要加强高校思想政治工作的实效性和针对性 ,必须强化“四种意识” :一是加强环境育人意识 ,坚持用马克思主义占领意识形态阵地 ;二是加强前瞻研判意识 ,坚持面向未来 ;三是加强科学激励意识 ,坚持把正效应和内发性放在首位 ;四是加强求实创新意识 ,坚持虚功实做和与时俱进。

This paper states that the ideological and political work of the Communist Party of China is the lifeline to the economic and other undertakings of the state,the central link in uniting the Party and the people of the whole country to accomplish the various missions of the Party and the nation,and an important political advantage of the Party and the state over other political systems.The author holds that the changing situation both at home and abroad calls for an improvement of the effectiveness and purposefulness of the ideological and political work of the institutions of higher learning.The author proposes that 'four consciousnesses' should be strengthened:a)the consciousness of creating a favorable environment for the education of students and of occupying the ideological front armed with Marxism;b)the consciousness of looking ahead into future possibilities and problems;c)the consciousness of inspiring the students scientifically,giving first priority to the positiveness and spontaneousness;d)the consciousness of being innovative and practical,adopting a down to earth style of work and always gearing the ideological work to the ever changing situation.
