The progress and development of transgenic agricultural products during the recent two decades in the world are summarized.The environment and food security triggered by the transgenic technology are discussed.It is demonstrated that how to evaluate the environment and food security of the transgenic agricultural products should not be ignored in the era of agricultural technology innovation.
