On the Dramatic Change of Society and Views of Nation in Late Qing Dynasty

晚清剧烈的社会变迁导致史家的民族史观发生根本的嬗变。这种嬗变从结构上来说,一方面是传统民族史观的基本要素中的文化观念的被重新估价,从而导致中国中心观念在晚清史家民族史观中的退化;另一方面它又是传统民族史观中族类观和政治观的被重新体认,并把这种体认融归为民族国家思想。这实质是一场文化的反思和抉择,它有着深远的意义和影响。

The dramatic social change in late Qing Dynasty led to the change of historical views of nation, the result of which was, in terms of cultural structure, the basic factors in the traditional historical views of nation, on the one hand, was revaluated so that the China - center concept was degenerate.
