摘要
一、问题的提出 自20世纪初始以来,世界上许多国家和地区的双语教育规模不断扩大,学术界对双语教育和儿童认知发展之间的关系也跟着重视起来。在英语文献中,有关双语教育和儿童认知发展之间关系的研究数以千计①,但是研究结果并不一致:有些研究发现双语教育对儿童的认知发展具有促进作用,有些研究发现双语教育对儿童的认知发展具有一些负面影响,而另一些研究则发现双语教育对儿童认知发展的影响是中性的②。
The article describes a five - year follow - up research that took more than 200 pupils in 4 schools as subjects . Taking the results on the pre - test and the post - test of standardized reason testing as the indicator of general mental development for pupils, the researchers, through comparing results of the bilingual education group and the monolingual education group, have found that the current bilingual education has little influence on the well - developed children, but has negative influence on the less - developed children in intelligence.
