The authors discuss the side-effect of the expression in functional languages when the assignment is incorporated,its effect on the check preciseness of the program,and how to reduce the side-effect in the imperativce languagess. The notion 'good side-effect' is introduced, Furthermore,the paper discusses some conditions for the side-effect of the expression to be 'good side-effect' or not in the functional languages and the imperative lauguages.
