摘要
对于VLSI的实施而言,低的工作电压和转换电流是主要关注的问题。然而在迄今为止发表的驱动方案中,还没有一种方案能同时解决这两个问题。在本文,我们研究低传输电压下双稳态胆甾相显示的电光特性,在后续(注*)文章中还将报道转换-速率对最大输出电流和平均输出功率影响的研究结果。我们测量了动态响应并相应地设计了一个有效的驱动方案。在使用低端扭曲向列相(TN)或超扭曲向列相(STN)混合液晶的情况下,最具成本效率的寻址时间是4ms/线。
For VLSI implementation,Low operation voltage and switching current are the major concerns.Yet,none the driving schemes publis hed so far has addressed this combined issue.We studied the elec-tro-optic characteristics of bista ble cholesteric displays at the low t ransition voltage in this paper,and the effect of slew-rate on the maximum ou tput current and average output powe r in a forthcoming paper.The dynamic responses were measured and an efficient scheme was devised accordingly.The most cost -effec-tive addressing time was 4ms /line using the low-end twist nematic(TN)or super twist nematic(STN)mixtures.
