摘要
英语词汇的使用在语句中呈现一定的模式,这种模式实际上是词汇与语法在一定程度上的结合,研究这种结合方式的内在规律性,将动词模式作为预制语块进行教学的方法值得探讨,同一模式的动词可能有相似或相近的含义,即动词模式本身传递语义信息。了解动词可能出现的模式,对准确使用英语非常重要。采用这种方法教学生,还可使学生的英语表达更加流利,句型更丰富。
Advances in computer analysis of the English language have revealed a widespread occurrence of lexical patterns in language use, which show some connections between vocabulary and grammar. It is worthwhile to study the way words are combined into patterns and to teach students verbs as prefabricated chunks. Verbs of the same pattern share aspects of senses; i.e. specific patterns carry semantic information. An acquitance with the potential patterns of English verbs helps use the language more accurately. Verb pattern approach to the English language learning is also likely to lead to fluency and variety in the use of the language.
