This article summarizes a conversationbetween the Chairman and the IntermediateCourse Masters of General Studies of theArchitectural Association School of Architecture(AA). It tries to convey AA's position in teachingHistories and Theories of Architecture: thestudying and teaching of architecture historiesand theories aims at letting the students discovertheir own perspectives and positions throughthe understanding of specific of the culturalcontext of architecture.
