Based on introduction of Datalog mud logging system′s fast gas chromatogram unit,the paper discusses the characteristics of fast gas chromatogram and deals with its important action of fast gas chromatogram on thin layer analysis,geologic guiding,electrical property correlation and lithological description through examples in field application.Since fast gas chromatogram was put into on-site practice,it had enlarged the field of mud logging services,providing further safeguard for identifying hydrocarbon reservoir promptly,guiding safety and optimum drilling under the fast drilling conditions.
