摘要
采用较简单的双点源真空蒸发法在光栅外表面上蒸镀一层均匀铝膜 ,利用电流流过铝膜时产生的电阻热改变光栅的温度而使光栅的中心波长向长波方向发生改变 .光栅中心波长的变化与所加电流的平方成正比 .实验中用较小的电流 (约 43m A)获得了较大的波长调谐范围 (约 4nm) ,其调谐精度达到 2 .1 5× 1 0 - 3nm/( m A) 2 .
A simple method for FBG wavelength tuning by electric currents is proposed.A uniform coat of aluminium thin film is deposited on an FBG by vacuum evaporation with two sources.The Bragg wavelength of the fiber grating will shift when the current flowing through the film varies because of the Joule heat generated by the current.The relationship between the square of the current intersity and the wavelength detuning is basically linear.In the experiment,we got about 4nm detuning range of FBG wavelength by using current intersity of~43mA and got a sensitivith of~2.15×10 -3 nm/(mA) 2.
