The concept of WTO and the value orientation for contemporary youth

入世后 ,我国的法规、政策与国际接轨 ,促进中西方价值理念融合产生一种新的价值体系 ,影响当代青年价值观的形成。当代青年同化这些价值理念形成新的价值观。他们的基本价值取向是把握国际发展的趋向 ,寻找“自我”与社会的最佳结合点 ,与时俱进 ,不断更新自己的知识结构 ,以创新为动力参与国际竞争 ,最大限度地发挥个人社会价值。

With entry into WTO, some regulations and policies of China have become consistent with those of the international community. This has led to a new value system because of an intermixed value concept containing both the Chinese factor and the Western element. It in turn influences the formation of value conception for today's youth. The fundamental value orientation for these young people is to keep pace with the trend of international development, seeking the most appropriate point to combine them with society, and moving forward together with the times. Moreover, they are continuously renewing their structure of knowledge, participating in the international competition with a creative stimulus, and finally giving maximum play to their individual value in this society.
