Redefine Speech Style

在评论几种有代表性的言语风格定义的基础上尝试提出新的定义,即言语风格是制导于言语表达者个人审美趣味、由具有不同审美功能的语言要素和语言表达手段所传达出的言语作品的整体美学风貌;并围绕着该定义的几个方面,对现有种种风格定义进行评析,对造成这种现状的原因进行剖析。

The author of this paper tries to redefine speech style on the basis of commenting some previous important definition of speech style (Yanyu Fengge) or linguistic style (Yuyan fengge), arguing that speech style represents a type of integrational aesthetic features determined by the aesthetic idiosyncrasies of speechmakers and conveyed by linguistic elements and rhetorical devices of various aesthetic functions. He also criticizes the existing definitions by pointing out the causes that create the chaos in defining it.
