摘要
“唐宋八大家”之称在南宋己见雏型 ,但正式提出则晚至明朝中叶。以茅坤为代表的“唐宋派”力倡“唐宋八大家”,是当时文坛斗争的需要。虽然“八大家”的提法在明、清时期不时遭到非议 ,但因其的确代表了唐宋时期散文理论与创作的最高水平。
Summary: (1) the embryonic appellation of Tang Song Ba Da Jia first appeared in the Southern Song period. By the middle of the Yuan Dynasty, this appellation was formally used in Mao Kun's Tang Song Ba Da Jia Wen Chao (The Selected Works of Tang Song Ba Da Jia) . (2) The school pro Tang Song style with Mao Kun as the representative figure advocated the style of prose writing of Tang Song Ba Da Jia to the need in competition in literature circles of the time. (3) The proposal of the appellation was questioned time and again in the Ming and Qing Dynasties; but, indeed, the prose writing of the proposed eight masters were representing the highest level in the Tang and the Song Dynasties. It is generally accepted that the varied characteristics embodied in their works had for long served as models for students to do exercises in composition.
