The Effect of Multimedia on Children's English Learning and Mediating Factors

摘要 英语学习作为基础教育的重要内容 ,受到全社会的普遍关注。我国儿童的英语学习中普遍存在的“少、慢、差、费”现象成为英语教育中亟待解决的问题。目前 ,多媒体技术的发展为有效促进儿童英语学习的效果提供了新的可行性。多媒体技术支持下儿童英语学习具有潜在优势 ,相关研究成果对多媒体条件下儿童英语学习的效果与重要影响因素进行了讨论 ,为提高我国儿童英语学习的效益提供了科学的依据。 English learning as an important content in basic education has got great attention in contemporary societies. The development of multimedia has been proved an important measure to solve the problem of low effectiveness of children's English learning. After addressing the potential advantages of multimedia, the effect of multimedia on children's English learning and important mediating factors are discussed based on our and other researchers' empirical studies.
