发展经济学演进中的西方中心主义和主流化倾向

“West Centerlism”and “West Mainstream” Tendency in the Evolution of Developm ent Economics

尽管发展经济学的演进趋势得到多数发展经济学家的肯定,但理论演进的内在逻辑却从未得到认真梳理。在承认早期坚持西方中心主义假设的发展经济学表现欠佳的同时,发展经济学却又不得不继续借助于坚持同样逻辑假设的新制度经济学、新经济史学的相关理论来重构自己的理论框架。概念范畴上的混乱,致使发展经济学家的行为追随了主流经济学的发展。发展经济学家的主流化努力,不仅无助于发展经济学走出目前的困境,反而从根本上进一步动摇了其独立的学科地位。所谓发展经济学复兴论缺乏坚实的理论基础,导致发展经济学陷入危机的因素依然存在。

Despite that the evolution trend of development economics is confirme d by most economists in this field, internal logic of theoretical evolution has never been carefully discussed. Recognizing that the hypothesis of “West Center lism' is not so solid, the development economics has to turn to neo-institution al economics and new studies of economic history with the same logic to restruct ure its theoretical framework. The confusion of concepts leads scholars of devel opment economics to follow the mainstream economics. The efforts of these econom ists cannot lead the development economics out of the present plight, but furthe r undermined its independent position in this field. The so-called “renaissanc e of development economics' lacks a solid theoretical base, hence, the factors t hat lead development economics into crisis still exist.
