In the paper, the chicory cultivars, biological characters, softening cultivation technology and heading cultivation technology were introduced, and the problems during its cultivation period were discussed. After the entry to WTO and with the aituation of adjusting agriculture structure, chicory will be extended broadly and quickly in China.
