Current Status and Developmental Prospects of Gene Engineering Utilities in Tree Breeding

综述了林木基因工程的应用现状和发展趋势 。

As a new breeding system, gene engineering plays a more and more importantrole in tree breeding. Thus, the importance of gene engineering in breeding of new varieties of trees and the history and prospects of gene engineering utilities in tree breeding are discussed. On the basis of analyzing current status and problems of gene engineering of tree breeding in China, some suggestions on gene engineering based tree breeding are made.
