To deal with the problem, the Japanese government has established a well developed system of social security for the aged, which is being constantly adjusted and improved in accordance with the development of the aging issue. Since China is now also stepping into a time when the population is becoming progressively aged, much can be learned from Japan's policy concerning social security for the aged in order to improve our country's measures to support the old.
