The most outstanding advantage of Raman amplifier is its capability to amplify the signal in any domain of transmission window. When it is applied in broadband WDM system, the amplified bandwidth could reach up to 80nm by multiplexing of multiple pumping lasers. And in the two-way WDM system, Raman amplifier shows good amplifying performence in L-band.
