由于世界上各大厂商追求各自利益 ,无线局域网发展至今尚难形成真正的全球标准。无线局域网也曾一度走红 ,成为热点技术之一 ,但由于管制、标准、市场定位以及安全等方面的原因 ,时起时落 ,没有真正发展起来。但无论作为移动通信的补充 ,还是作为固网的延伸 ,无线局域网都将会随着电信业务的发展而重新热起来 。

Since the big manufacturers pursue respective profits, a true global standard for Wireless LAN still remains a conundrum. WLAN used to have its own moment as one of the hottest technology. However, experiencing rising and falling, it didn't enjoy a real development because of the factors of regulation, standard, market positioning and security. But no matter to be used as supplement to mobile communication or extending of the fixed networks, WLAN will reheat up with the prerequisite of obvious cost cutting.
