三、社会条件促成当前的危机其次,我们要来思考对目前情况具有重大影响的有关社会因素。50年代是美国家庭稳定性最高的时期,事实上,专家们指出,在整个人类历史上,以及在全球各地,没有比当时的美国社会更有利于家庭幸福及和睦欢乐的大环境了。当时医药的进步使儿童比以前的孩子更能享受到既健康又长寿的父母亲的爱;而战后美国社会的安定与繁荣,使人们拥有史无前例的免于恐惧和匮乏的安全感。传统家庭受到鼓励,双亲家庭更是居绝对优势的社会规范。婚前贞洁、结婚成家、婚后忠贞均为理所当然,而且确实为大家普遍遵循。

The past thirty years,due to the influence of sexual revolution,people abandoned the tra- ditional moral attitude toward sex.The result is the arising of the numerous health and social problems.For the sex education in the school,which approach should we take?From five different aspects:the public health crisis caused by free sex;the psychological and social crisis caused by non-marital sexual relationship;the so- cial factors contribute to the current crisis;the contraceptive-based sex education in America;the newly arising character-based sex education;we shal discuss the fundamental differences between these two approaches of sex education.
