Elaborated the function,installation,and the use of water-turbine generation set mechanic over speed protection device was in the over speed protection system of the Chencun hydropower plant,when the electrical speed-measuring system fault or power fault and governor speed regulation fault were coincidence,the system used unit hydraulic device which oil pressure to realize the hydro generator unit outage,preventing the unit runaway,ensuring the safe operation of water-turbine generator set.Aiming at the key essentials in the process of mechanic over speed protection installation and use were brief summary,and the oil system was optimized,which could realize the unit to cast back at any time,which did not affect the safe operation of unit.
