This paper analyzed the difference between procurement standard for imported hardwood plywood in United State (IHPA) and national plywood standard in China concerning wood species, type, construction of panels, dimensions and tolerances, classification by surface appearance, physical and mechanical properties, formaldehyde emission content as well as marking and packaging. Meanwhile, some countermeasures were proposed briefly in order to help domestic enterprises to produce the plywood in accordance with plywood the export demand.
