摘要 当代美国黑人作家追寻历史实际上是在寻找黑人的文化归属 ,美国黑人共同的精神家园。 This article discusses the cultural and human significance of seeking roots upsurge in contemporary African-American literature. Contemporary African American writers seek their cultural identity, and their common spiritual home through the excavation of their past history. The black history rewritten by the black writers greatly revises the main stream discourse and the traditional classic literature about black people.
