摘要
本项研究采用回顾式报告、面谈和有声思维三种手段 ,调查了解了大学英语专业学生英语听力理解认知过程中的种种困难。研究显示 :学生此方面的困难有半数是初始阶段的词义识别差错和注意失败所致 ;还有些困难源于语法语义分析差错和不能正确使用相关的词义心理表征。本研究还对比分析了听力成绩好的学生与差的学生之间的难点差异 ,发现有些难点是共同的 。
This study, through verbal report, interviews, and thinking aloud, investigates difficulties experienced by English majors in their listening process. It is found that word recognition and failure of attention are the major causes of these difficulties while wrong parsing and failure to use relevant mental representations are minor causes. A comparison between the difficulties of the high- and the low- level students shows that they share some common problems though most of the low-level group's difficulties lie in the starting phase of information process.
