This article retrospects clinical research literature that Fire-Needle Acupuncture combined with cupping treats herpes zoster and postherpetic neuralgia.It has wide range of treatment.It becomes effective in treatment and it has higher total effective rate than western medicine,acupuncture and other treatments.Because it has effects of stimulus of acupuncture and warmth of moxibustion,and it can stimulate the operation of qi and blood all over the human body as well as it can warm meridian and enhance the circulation of qi and blood,cupping has the effect of strengthening the body resistance to eliminate pathogenic factors and removing blood stasis and expelling pus.When they are combined to cure herpes zoster and postherpetic neuralgia.It has good effect.So clinic should extensively use Fire-Needle Acupuncture.
