Block Printing's Influence on Chinese Character in Song Dynasty

雕版印刷在宋代的广泛应用 ,给汉字形体带来了重要影响。本文主要从字形规范和字体特征两个方面对此进行了分析。文章认为 ,雕版印刷与以前的传抄形式相比 ,字形变异的几率大大降低 ,再加上宋版书籍刻工讲究 ,校勘精细 ,使得宋代汉字形体进一步走向规范 ;宋代刻书过程中逐渐形成的笔画瘦硬、横平竖直的字体风格 。

The widely using of the block printing in Song Dynasty had given a great influence on the structure of Chinese Character, especially at two aspects: the standard of Chinese Character's structure and the characteristic of Chinese Character's form. The article suggests that the block printing was one of the main reasons for Chinese Character becoming more standard in Song Dynasty, and it also made the Song Ti Zi became mature.
